On-device progress
Bored Blocks stores scores, completed levels, lives, streaks, and preferences on your device. Campaign progress is not synchronized between devices. Local data remains until you reset the relevant scores, clear site or app data, or remove the app; operating-system backups may retain copies.
Top Players accounts and global leaderboards
Playing does not require an account. In versions with Top Players, you may sign in with Google or Apple to create a Bored Blocks leaderboard account. Supabase provides our authentication and database services. We process the account identifier, email address (including Apple's private relay address if you choose it), and profile information supplied by your sign-in provider to authenticate you and maintain your account. We do not receive your Google or Apple password. Sign-in sessions are stored on your device; our services may process IP addresses, timestamps and technical logs for security and service operation.
Signing in alone does not publish your device scores. Selecting Join & sync this device publishes your Arcade best score, Campaign total score and highest unlocked Campaign level. Your chosen display name, optional country flag, scores, level and rank are publicly visible. Your provider email and provider profile are not displayed on the leaderboard. Use a nickname and select Not shown to hide your country. Country is self-selected, not inferred from your device's location. Leaderboard records do not provide cross-device restoration of your Campaign progress.
We retain your leaderboard account and records until you delete the account. In versions supporting account deletion, open Top Players, select the account icon, then Delete account and confirm. A recent sign-in may be required. Successful deletion removes your authentication account, public profile and Top Players scores; Apple sign-in authorization is revoked for accounts linked to Apple. The app confirms completion. If deletion fails, it displays an error so you can retry. This does not delete your local game progress, your Google or Apple account, or records those platforms independently control. You can contact contact@codetechnology.app for privacy assistance, including if you cannot access your account. Service backups and security logs may persist under our provider's retention processes and are not used to republish your deleted leaderboard profile. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
Platform leaderboards
Apple Game Center and Google Play Games leaderboards are separate from Top Players. When you are signed in and a platform leaderboard is available, the app submits scores or completed-level records to that platform and retrieves your standing. The platform manages your player identity and leaderboard visibility under its own settings and policies. Resetting local scores or deleting your Top Players account does not delete platform leaderboard records. Manage platform sign-in and privacy through your device or platform account settings; contact the platform for records it controls.
Website and support
The game does not require a Bored Blocks account or ask for contacts or location. Our website host may process IP addresses and browser information to deliver and protect the site. If you contact support, we receive your email address and the information you send, use it to handle your request, and retain it only as needed for support or legal obligations. Email contact@codetechnology.app to request access or deletion of information we control. Service providers processing information for us must protect it and use it only for the service they provide.
Optional reminders
With your permission, the mobile app schedules local life-refill reminders on your device. You can turn reminders off in the game or revoke notification permission in device settings. Notifications are not required to play.
Sharing
If you choose Share score, the game creates a score image on your device and opens your device's sharing options. Your chosen destination controls what happens after you share. Bored Blocks does not automatically post your score or access your contacts.
Audio, haptics, and offline files
Sound and haptic effects run on your device. The browser version may cache game files for offline play. You can remove local scores, settings, and cached files by clearing this site's data in your browser or removing the app from your device.
Advertising and optional rewards
The mobile app integrates Google AdMob. Optional rewarded ads can provide extra lives, hints, streak recovery, or, in supported versions, an optional One More Shot reward that adds 15 seconds to an eligible Arcade run near your high score. Reward offers are limited by eligibility and cooldowns. You may decline a reward offer and continue with the resources and other play options available to you.
Starting with Android version 1.13, Arcade also supports interstitial ads between runs. These are introduced after an initial two-day grace period, depend on accumulated active gameplay, and can appear when you select Play Again, not during an active run. The gameplay interval is initially two minutes and becomes 90 seconds after the first week. The app stores ad timing and reward cooldown information on your device. Ad availability depends on your installed version, age range, privacy choices, network connection, and available ads. Test configurations use test ads; live advertising is not enabled in every build. The browser game does not request AdMob ads.
When advertising services are used, Google may collect and share IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), device or app identifiers, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. The app requests non-personalized ads; this does not mean no data is processed. Bored Blocks does not include a separate analytics service, but the advertising SDK has its own measurement functions. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Age range and ad privacy choices
The app can ask for your birth year to determine an age range. Only the age range is stored on your device, not the entered year or your full date of birth. Production advertising may be available to players aged 13 and older. For ages 13-17, the app applies under-age treatment to the consent service and ad requests. All ad requests are non-personalized and limited to Google's General content rating. Players whose saved age range is under 13 remain blocked from production ads.
Starting with Android version 1.13, if you leave your age range unset, the app does not infer an age or assume you are an adult. It may request restricted, non-personalized, General-rated ads using child-directed and under-age-of-consent treatment, only when Google's consent service permits ad requests. Earlier versions may block ads while age is unknown. You can review your saved age range in Settings.
Where required, Google's consent service presents privacy choices before an ad can be requested. In mobile versions with production advertising configured, open Settings and select Ad privacy choices to review the options available in your region and age group. If the consent service does not permit an ad request, the app does not load an ad. The app does not request Apple's tracking authorization. Device privacy settings may also let you reset or delete advertising identifiers.
Your information and rights
You can reset relevant progress in the game or clear app data to remove locally stored information. Removing local data does not delete records independently held by Google, Apple, a sharing destination, or our support mailbox. Their retention and deletion practices are described in their policies. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information and to withdraw consent or object to certain processing. Contact contact@codetechnology.app for requests relating to information we control. For information held by platform or advertising providers, use their privacy controls or contact them directly.
